I feel like most people would see this photo and think “plate garnish.”

I see it and think dinner.  I’m not sure what that says about me, but I consider myself lucky to have a palate that associates leafy greens with the word “yum.”

Tonight was a five ingredient preparation.  I sautéed together:

Swiss chard
baby portobello mushrooms
raw gruyere
pumpkin [...]

dinner daydreams.

The simple knowledge that I was going to make this dinner was all I needed to keep me motivated for 9 hours on my feet today.
