I know what you mean. I'm 'beyond' 20 something (but still look it, hehe), yet I'm just barely starting a career (just finished grad school). I think everyone moves at a different speed, so there's no shame whatsoever as long as we are moving forward. Cheers!

[...] Life isn’t easy. I’m settling into a career path that is marked by one uncomfortable situation after another. Learning to find comfort in discomfort is what yoga teaches me, and I’ll suffer through many more classes if it means there’s this kind of reward at the end. This reward is often gifted without spending any more than the price of a yoga class: physical and emotional well-being, or a damn-I-feel-GOOD kind of Sunday afternoon. Then of course, there’s brunch: a somewhat costlier reward for hard-earned chaturanga arms. [...]

do-everything-itis is super dangerous, especially when just one of the many things you do (writing class - what an awesome way to challenge yourself creatively and intellectually) is awesome on its own, along with living and working in a city as challenging as new york. as we spoke about, having a night off (or many nights, in my case ;)) is so good for the soul. and if that means you watch trashy TV and cook something fabulous, that's an accomplishment in itself. i always vote for the option that will save my sanity since i'm all about mental health. felicity-viewing is a form of therapy, no? :)
