Hi! I’m Leslie. I’m 25, I live in Brooklyn, I work in Manhattan, and I write this blog. [For more about the blog, click here.]
- I like food. Oh, that’s obvious? Ok. Vegetables are my favorite food group. Second place is a tie between summer fruit, wine, bread, and chocolate ice cream [in a cone, with sprinkles].
- I work at a performing arts center as a grant writer. I get paid to help make the arts happen. It’s pretty cool.
- I lived in Prague for a year after college, studied abroad twice, and am currently on a mission to explore the United States. I hope I’ll keep traveling until I can’t stand on my own two feet. Even then, I hope someone will push my wheelchair through new turf.
- I took 12 years of ballet, spent a year in film school, worked as a fashion stylist for another year, and have a degree in theater and writing. I also thought calculus was fun, which is confusing.
- Suburbia scares me. I will never move out of a city.
- I am very lucky to have an incredible family. They are my very favorite people to spend time with. It doesn’t hurt that our days together typically involve a lot of delicious food.
- I think exercise is awesome. My favorite form is power vinyasa yoga, and I also like to run when my knees aren’t cranky, which means not too often. Generally, I just love to be active.
- I am a much nicer person in the summer. The beach is my happiest happy place.
- I have no idea what I’m doing in life, but I’m having a hell of a good time figuring it out.

Hi! I just found your blog after you left a comment on mine. Your blog looks absolutely fabulous- you are an amazing writer and clearly have a keen sense of aesthetics. So far your meals look incredibly delicious and inspiring. I can’t wait to continue reading and to learn more about you! Welcome!
So I just read your AMAZING post and decided to read your about page. I’m in Manhattan for the summer and I was wondering if you knew of any nice healthy Restaurants I should try? Feel free to email me. (I wanted to send this comment in an email but didn’t have an address.)
Yoga is my saving grace too :)

Hi- I just stumbled on your blog, but I feel the same about yoga.. Being super injury prone has been a big obstacle in my love for running, and honestly I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t discovered yoga. You have a good outlook on life!

Nice blog. Great domain name, too :) Agreed about the fresh ocean air. In fact, the details of a great FL beach experience are fully reviewed (and photographed) in a previous “Mastering Public Health” blog post!

I like the last part the best.
I came to your 11 things reverb10 blog post, and found my way to your About Me page. Made me smile. I’m a 50 something living not even in the suburbs … farm country-raising Nigerian Dwarf goats AND working from home as a lifecoach. I can’t imagine living in the city, so thanks for a peek into your life. :)
