I feel like most people would see this photo and think “plate garnish.”
I see it and think dinner. I’m not sure what that says about me, but I consider myself lucky to have a palate that associates leafy greens with the word “yum.”
Tonight was a five ingredient preparation. I sautéed together:
- evoo
- Swiss chard
- baby portobello mushrooms
- raw gruyere
- pumpkin seeds
With a side of bulgur drizzled in balsamic vinegar, it was warm, earthy, and included melted cheese. Can’t go wrong there.

When I think “dinner” I think BIG salad. I love fresh colorful salads that nourish and replenish my body. What time is better to eat that then before you sleep? Lovely dinner you made also
